Rick and I visited the former POW camp Stalag Luft 1 at Barth in Northern Germany yesterday. Ricks dad, Marvin D. Anderson was a Navigator on a B-17 bomber, who crash landed in 1943 close to the baltic sea. The crew survived but got captured by the germans and brought to the POW camp in Barth. 1945 the POWs were liberated and returned to the US.
